When scanning features first arrived on the scene, most users had to choose to scan to a folder or scan to an email address. From there, users would then need to go back to their PC, locate the document in their email or scan folder. Once located they would then need to rename the file, move the file to a job folder on the server or even distribute that scanned document to additional staff members.
All these extra steps have been eliminated with embedded Capture Software. Now users can walk up the Multifunctional Wide Format system, and preview the folders that reside on their network. One the folder is located the user can then name the file from the Multifunctional Wide Format system and have it delivered to the right folder, thus eliminating many steps in the old scanning process.
